Agriculture and Resource Economics

The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics has teaching, research, and extension components and offers programs for degrees in agricultural economics and management of or in environmental and water resource economics.

American Indian Studies

AIS is a Graduate InterDisciplinary Program at the University of Arizona offering a Ph.D., M.A., J.D./M.A., and Graduate Certificates in Higher Education, Natural Resources Administration & Management, and Native Nation Building.  The Undergraduate Program is part of the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences and offers a Major (B.A.) and Minor in AIS.

Arizona Cooperative Extension

Cooperative Extension, an outreach arm of the University of Arizona and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), is improving lives and communities by serving as a statewide network of knowledgeable faculty and staff that provides lifelong educational programs for all Arizonans.

Drachman Institute

The Drachman Institute is the research-based outreach arm of the College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture (CAPLA) at the University of Arizona dedicated to sustainable design and planning with a focus on communities in need throughout Arizona and the Greater Southwest.

Hydrology and Water Resources

Established in 1966, the University of Arizona's Department of Hydrology and Water Resources was the first in the nation dedicated solely to the science of water.  Today it remains the leader in both education and research.

Institute of the Environment

International Arid Lands Consortium

The International Arid Lands Consortium (IALC) is dedicated to exploring problems and solutions that improve the lives of people living in the arid and semiarid regions of the world. UA is an IALC Founding Member Institution.
